How to Get There / Directions :
Cox’s Bazar Beach stretches 120 kilometers from the city of Cox’s Bazar to a place called BADARMOKAM. To reach the main area of Cox’s Bazar, you can travel from Chittagong, which is 152 kilometers to the north, or from Dhaka, which is 414 kilometers away.
By Air: You can fly directly to Cox’s Bazar from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
By Road: Direct road travel is available from Dhaka to Cox’s Bazar. Buses also operate directly from Chittagong, Khulna, and Sylhet to Cox’s Bazar. You can choose between air-conditioned (AC) and non-air-conditioned (non-AC) buses.
By Train: Currently, the Awami League government has introduced a direct, high-quality train service from Dhaka to Cox’s Bazar, making train travel a convenient and hassle-free option.
Cox’s Bazar offers several international-standard hotels, motels, and resorts. In addition, there are many resorts, hotels, and boarding houses of various sizes and standards. Notable mentions include Hotel Sea Gull and Royal Tulip. Presently, the hotels in Cox’s Bazar can accommodate approximately 200,000 tourists, so there is a good chance of finding accommodation even if you do not book in advance.

Beach Areas :
When thinking of Cox’s Bazar Beach in Bangladesh, the first thing that comes to mind is the Old Sea Beach, also known as LABONI Point. This is the primary spot where locals flock to enjoy the sea. Buses from various regions of the country head to Cox’s Bazar, and you can get off at KALATALI Sea Beach Road and either take a rickshaw or walk to this beach. Due to its proximity to Cox’s Bazar city, LABONI Beach is considered the main sea beach of Cox’s Bazar.

The area adjacent to the beach is lined with numerous small and large shops selling a variety of items, which attract tourists. Additionally, there is a shell market developed for tourists. This market features a diverse range of goods imported from countries like Myanmar, Thailand, and China through border trade routes.
However, if you prefer to enjoy the sea in a more serene environment, Cox’s Bazar offers            several other beaches with unique characteristics.

KALATALI Point
KALATALI Beach is another popular tourist attraction in Cox’s Bazar. Located within the city, it draws visitors of all ages who come to swim in the sea and enjoy the natural beauty. KALATALI Beach features various restaurants offering a range of foods and many other tourist facilities. Walking along the beach under the moonlight is especially thrilling and enjoyable for people of all ages. All transportation heading to Cox’s Bazar enters the city through KALATALI Point.

SUGANDHA Point
Located to the north of KALATALI Point, Sugandha Point features the popular Burmese Market. In the past, there were numerous seafood restaurants here, but the government later removed them. Sugandha Point is also known for its unique attraction—a suspended restaurant.

HIMCHARI
Located just 12 kilometers south of Cox’s Bazar Beach, HIMCHARI is a tourist destination nestled along the foothills. The beach here is relatively quieter and cleaner compared to Cox’s Bazar, and its beauty is equally stunning. What makes HIMCHARI even more remarkable is the scenic route to the beach from Cox’s Bazar. On one side, you have the expansive sandy beach, and on the other, rows of green hills, with a paved Marine Drive in between. This breathtaking view is likely unmatched anywhere else in the country. A visit to Cox’s Bazar would be incomplete without experiencing this route. Climbing up the hills will offer you a panoramic view of the vast sea stretching into the blue horizon. One of the main attractions of HIMCHARI is its Christmas Tree. Recently, several tourist centers and picnic spots have been developed in HIMCHARI.

INANI Beach
INANI Beach is an 18-kilometer (11-mile) long beach located in the UKHIYA Upazila of Cox’s Bazar district. It is situated approximately 28 kilometers south of Cox’s Bazar city. The beach is known for its green and black coral stones.
